Und hier einige Willkommensworte von Stewart O'Nan persönlich:
Hello, and thanks for checking out the German website for my writing, run by the inimitable Klaus Spangenmacher.
I've been lucky to have German readers since the release of Engel im Schnee back in 1995, thanks partly to the Literary Quartet's endorsement of it, but also thanks to adventurous and dedicated readers of fiction. I owe you all a debt of gratitude. I know that all of my books won't appeal to every reader, but I do hope some of them might connect with your lives in a meaningful way. I'm honored that you'd spend some of your time with my people and come to know them. As John Edgar Wideman says, a book is a gift. The writer doesn't have to write it, and the reader doesn't have to read it, but somehow, voluntarily, we come together in this most intimate way, one to one, to discover how other people live. So thank you.
